Meet Nick Doran and Stef Russell, a couple about to undertake a pretty impressive challenge in aid of charity.

They plan to cycle from South Korea to Dublin, where they’ve been living for five years, a journey which is likely to take them between seven and nine months.

Nick and Stef are hoping to reach a combined target of €30,000 in aid of Headstrong, the Irish National Centre for Youth Mental Health.

To inform people about the idea and how they’re going to go about it, they’ve set up a website which explains everything about the 15,000 km journey.

“We aim to cycle from Hongseong, South Korea to Dublin, Ireland over the course of seven to nine months, starting in March 2016.

“This is a distance of approximately 15, 000 kilometres.

“We plan to avoid all air travel but will undertake three ferry journeys: one from Incheon, South Korea to Qingdao, China; one from Rotterdam, Netherlands to Hull, England and one from Holyhead, Wales to Dublin, Ireland.”

Stef and Nick are quick to point out that all money raised will go towards Headline and if you want to get involved, you can find out more here.
