"Our elderly neighbour passed away recently. "His daughter popped round a few moments ago clutching a large plastic sack. In the sack were all the Christmas presents he'd bought for our daughter. "He always told us he'd live till he was 100 years old, so these gifts would have taken him up to our little girl's 16th Christmas."He said that while he and his wife thought it would be a nice tradition to give their daughter "a present from Ken" for the next 14 years, they weren't sure if they should unwrap them then re-wrap them - just in case there were any age-specific ones. When his story went viral, he put the question to Twitter users - and the consensus seemed to be that Cadi get one present in a lucky dip every year for the next 14 years. Due to how quickly the story went viral, the dad later added more details about Ken. He said:
"Ken was a former salvage diver, seaman, carpenter, baker... The first time I met him, he was bouncing a 20ft ladder across the face of his house. He was on top. He was 83 at the time."https://twitter.com/OwsWills/status/1074793408030535681 Owen's original tweet has gotten more than 6,800 retweets (and counting) since it was first posted.
