EastEnders Actress Thanks Fans As Departure Confirmed

EastEnders star Jasmyn Banks is leaving Albert Square after a year and a half, it has been revealed.

The actress, who plays Alice Branning, took to Twitter yesterday to thank her fans for all of their support.

 

Jasmyn is just one of the many characters leaving the popular soap.

She wrote: “Thanks so much to everyone wishing me well you’ve made me smile, but fear not there’s still a lot to come on screen for Alice #staytuned.”

According to the Daily Star Sunday, Alice will be written out of the show as part of Michael Moon’s departing storyline.

With her co-star and onscreen love interest Steve John Shepherd. 

The decision was made after Steve John Shepherd announced that he was quitting the show, and his somewhat sinister role, after three years.

For the last few months it has been the complex relationship between Alice and Michael that has gripped viewers.
