Ladies, are you looking for work? If so, you might want to consider becoming a reality show judge. Why? Well, apparently there’s loads of money in it – especially if your name is Mariah Carey.

The Irish Independent reports that the diva is now officially the highest earning judge on reality television. Now, we imagine that Mariah’s predecessor Jennifer Lopez is absolute raging about this, given the fact that it was reported that J.Lo made a swift exit when American Idol bosses refused to increase her wages.

Anyway, it was officially announced last night that Mariah will take over from J.Lo, and now TMZ is claiming that Mariah will rake in a massive $18 million for appearing on the show.

Jennifer recently gave up her judge's seat on American Idol.

This is substantially more than what J.Lo received for her first year on the show. According to reports, Jennifer  only made $12 million for offering up her advice to aspiring musicians.

We should also mention that Mariah is even making more than Britney Spears, who reportedly signed a $15 million deal for the US X-Factor.

“I like Mariah,” said Simon Cowell, commenting on the news.

“I think she’s going to find it difficult to say no. You’ve got to say no to people and she’s sweet. No, I think she’ll be great,” he added.
