Remember those wonderful days when all you had to worry about was not overdoing it on the ice-cream and how long you could stay out for until it got really dark? They were the real glory days. Here are 12 things you used to do with your best friend...
1. Make daisy chains.
They were all the rage back then, you just couldn't be seen without some dying plants in your hair.
2. Have sleepovers.
Sleepovers that drove your mother to distraction because you stayed up all night talking and were unbelievably cranky the next morning.
3. Watch scary films when your parents were watching the News.
You made fool proof plans of when you would go to each others house to watch a scary film. Luckily, one of you always had a parent that didn't really care what you did as long as you were quiet doing it. However, your mom loved the sleepless nights afterwards...

4. The Phonecalls
Back in those times, you didn't have mobile phones. As soon as you got off the bus from school, you'd fly into the house and go ring your best mate... despite the fact that she was on the bus you just got home.
5. BFF chains
A chain with a heart that broke in two was an essential accessory when you were 12, you would be best friend's forever. FOREVER!
6. Roller-cycling
One girl on a bike, one on roller blades... hours of endless amusement.

7. Talking about Kissing
Or whatever variation you had depending on the area, meeting/shifting/scoring, it all came down to one big question... When would you have your first kiss?
8. Dyeing each others hair
This was definitely your mother's favourite, especially when you arrived home with bright orange hair after the bleaching went wrong. Delighted she was...

9. Comparing music lyrics
You would buy a lot of issues of Smash Hits, rip out the lyrics pages, put them on your wall and learn those songs like it was no ones business.
10. Talking about the arrival of "TOM"
The first one out of the two of you to have your friends arrive was a real woman, not like the other one. She was still a girl.
11. Wearing the WORST outfits you could find
You really thought you were absolutely amazing wearing that skirt with those braces, didn't you? Then you thought it would be a good idea to raid your mother's make-up and wear ALL of it. Literally, all of it. Classy.
