Enjoy the sunshine will it lasts...
Because it's set to take a turn for the worse over the Easter weekend.
While the rest of today is due to stay calm and bright, rain is set to start from midnight and the unsettled conditions will continue throughout the weekend.
Saturday will be damp and overcast “especially the eastern half of the country, with rain, heavy or thundery at times”, according to Met Eireann.
There will, however be occasional bright or sunny spells and temperatures of 9 to 11 degrees.
Sunday will be a “cold and breezy day with bright or sunny spells”.
And it looks like it's going to rain on our Centenary celebrations:
“It will turn showery with the risk of hail or thunder. Showers will die out on Sunday night and winds moderate for a time. However, there is the risk of heavy rain in the south spreading northeastwards in freshening winds.”
Monday is “likely to start wet and windy” but “the rain is likely to clear to scattered showers with some sunny spells later”.
