When it comes to romance, it doesn’t get much better than this proposal.
Many a gal (or guy) dreams of the perfect proposal, maybe something of epic proportions or something deeply personal and romantic.
One lucky lady in Cork got quite the grand gesture yesterday when her partner popped the question.
This gigantic hand-written (sand-written?) message was inscribed on the beach at Inchydoney yesterday.
The message reads “Anne, Will you marry me?” and clearly took a lot of time and effort, judging by sheer scale of it.
It was spotted by the team at Inchydoney Lodge and Spa and shared on Instagram, where followers have all been wondering whether Anne said yes.
By the looks of another photo shared by Clonakilty’s Emmet Hotel, she certainly saw it up close.

Local radio host Neil Prendiville tweeted to find out what Anne’s answer was, and thankfully it was good news.
