One of the highlights of last year's Rose Of Tralee was the New Orleans Rose's hilarious reaction to an impromptu proposal by her long-term boyfriend.
When Kyle Catlett took to the stage to ask for her hand in marriage, a clearly shocked Molly Molloy Gamble responded by saying the one word that all lovestruck men do not want to hear: 'no'... eleven times.
Luckily, she followed it up with a much more positive 'yes' and the couple tied the knot at the Sacred Heart Church in Alabama last May.
The wedding was captured for an upcoming RTE documentary The Proposal, which will air on September 24th, and Molly says that her initial reservations were just "a verbal tic brought on by nervousness".
“It was overwhelming. I was being proposed to when I thought I was just coming on stage to do an interview. We had discussed it [getting married] when we finished college, but I had no thought in my mind that this would happen.”
The couple now live together in Florida, with Kyle revealing that the wedding day was "the happiest" of his life.
“I was fine until I was standing on my altar. I got butterflies and I knew this was the moment I was waiting for since she said yes. I had a few tears going."
