Fair play, Cam.
The problem with large corporations on social media is that they’re on a hiding to nothing. If they’re too straight-laced and official, they seem po-faced and out of touch, and yet any attempts at humour are often shot down as ‘trying too hard’ and being incredibly lame.
But credit where it’s due, Morrisons’ official account played a blinder with one mischievous customer who decided to put in a pisstake complaint about their delectable doughnuts. He wasn’t happy about the affect on his sex life, and the supermarket chain responded perfectly.
It all started when ‘Silverfox’ complained about the lack of a hole in the sugary snack he’d bought…
@Morrisons oi there's no ring in my donuts how I'm I supposed to put these on my willy and get my girlfriend to eat them off now ???? pic.twitter.com/ZFCOfKUwHn

Rather than ignore the puerile tweet, or reply with a straight but dour party line, ‘Cam’, who was manning the account, responded in kind with a friendly suggestion…
@PeeWeeMFC75 Improvise! – Cam

The complainer then took it a step further to test the waters…
@Morrisons I did I'm now in a&e with burns from the onion rings
— silverfox? (@PeeWeeMFC75) January 6, 2017
But Cam was not to be outdone…
@PeeWeeMFC75 You didn't wait for them to cool down? – Cam

At this point, Silverfox began to open up…
@Morrisons you don't know my mrs she's very demanding cam ?
— silverfox? (@PeeWeeMFC75) January 6, 2017
Cam was nothing if not understanding…
@PeeWeeMFC75 She sounds it! My advise, leave everything to chill for 2 minutes. – Cam
— Morrisons (@Morrisons) January 6, 2017
This was muchly appreciated…
@Morrisons thanks cam it's nice to finally talk to someone about this
— silverfox? (@PeeWeeMFC75) January 6, 2017
@PeeWeeMFC75 If you need anything else, you know where I am – Cam
— Morrisons (@Morrisons) January 6, 2017
@PeeWeeMFC75 No problem – Cam

Then, for a lovely little happy ending, the customer realised the conversation had gone and viral was excited to let his new friend know…
