Ewww… Bride clueless after wedding guests vomits on her dress

Olivia Hayes

Oh God… this is not ideal.

When you picture your wedding day, you want it to be picture perfect. From the ceremony, to the decorations, the meal, the band, the flowers, the cakes and the reception… all brides want it to be their day and how they pictured it.

Especially the dress. We all want a dress that is true to our own style. Something we happy and comfortable in for the entire day.

Something we definitely don’t want is someone throwing up on our dress. Vomit is not a good look. Ever.

Unfortunately though, that happened to this bride.

She took to Reddit, and actually doesn’t seem too angry… but she is just clueless on what to do about it.

She wrote:

“Hi Weddit,

“We made it through the wedding but my dress went through quite a bit, including a wedding guest who indulged bit too much and got sick on my dress after the reception… (don’t worry, we’re cool now. Another friend helped to scrub most of it out).

“I was checking out the the David’s Bridal wedding dress preservation package. Is it worth it, or should I just take my dress to the local cleaners?”

Many replied to the thread saying that they wouldn’t feel too comfortable about preserving a dress that got puked on.

One said:

“OK, are you sure you want to preserve it even though it’s been puked on? I’m admittedly extremely squeamish about vomit but I would probably in your situation get rid of the dress as I can’t imagine preserving something that had vomit on it just because I would never feel like it was ‘clean’.”

While another wrote:

“Eh, it’s not ideal, but it’s not the worst thing in the world. Preservation includes cleaning, so on top of my own cleaning it should be fine.”
