So yesterday was National Text Your Ex Day (well, on Twitter at least) and it got us thinking about exes. Continuing with that train of thought, a new survey today states that half of single women regularly get down and dirty with their exes while they’re searching for new love.
Correct us if we’re wrong, but we fail to see the sense here. Trying to find new love while you’re roidin’ your ex? It sounds a bit counterproductive, but according to the survey, 43 per cent of women and 47 per cent of men regularly do the horizontal tango with a former flame.
Of the 1,000 men and women who were questioned, 31 per cent admitted that they slept with their ex because they hoped that one last time together would help to rekindle the romance. And a high number of women admitted that they turned to their ex simply because they missed physical intimacy.
The survey, which was conducted by sugar daddy website Seeking Arrangement.com, revealed that the top five reasons for jumping back into bed with an ex included too much alcohol, flirting online and running into each other unexpectedly on a night out.

Is ex-sex a good way to move on and find new love?
“It’s something most girls have done. They say, ‘never go back’ but it can be difficult when you have been very close to a guy and you are struggling to find someone new,” said one of the women who took part in the poll.
“I have sometimes regretted doing it in the past – particularly when I have been keener on the guy than he was on me,” she added.
We have to ask ladies – sleeping with your ex: good way to put the past behind you or bad idea if you’re trying to move on? What do you think?
