Limerick’s Rebecca Barry is in with a chance with winning as ESPY after her hockey goal made it into ESPN’s Play of the Day last year.
The Irish hockey international’s goal has already received the honour of Sportscenter’s Play of the Day (the ESPN show has a segment which picks out the best sporting moments from the previous day and hers was one of them).
And now the incredible goal is one of the nominations for Play of the Year at ESPNs annual award show.
However she will have to see off the likes of Khalil Edney’s buzzer beater and Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s goal against England to claim the title which you can help her win by clicking here.
