The family of an Irish man has appealed to the thieves who stole the two watches he left for his sons to return them.
Stephen Carroll, who died of cancer back in November, left two engraved Omega watches, which he had received for his 21st and 30th birthdays, for his sons Senan and Keelan.
Over the weekend, his parents’ house was broken into and the watches, which are apparently of no monetary value, were taken.
Members of Stephen's family, including his sister-in-law Kerrie, are hoping their online appeal will not only prevent the watches from being sold on but will see them returned.
Gardai in Blackrock are currently investigating the theft.
