OH NO! WhatsApp group chat users are going to be raging with this new update

Olivia Hayes

OK, we’re not entirely loving this.

If you’re anything like us then you have more than a few group chats going at the one time. There could be a chat between your BFFs, your work colleagues, your family… and then there’s the few random ones thrown in for good measure too.

If there’s any scandalous news… or just someone acting the maggot online, you might even be having the same conversations with more than one chat.

You know yourself, the banter is mighty and you’re going from chat to chat in order to not miss out on anything.

And if you see some absolute gas meme, or even a tweet that sent one chat on fire, you’re going to send it over to the other group so they can have the lols too.

However, with WhatsApps new update, you may not be able to do that anymore. A new feature on the app will show anything that has been forwarded. So, if you send on a gas video, everyone in the group chat will know you got it from someone else on Whatsapp.

As well as that, if you’re up at 2am and want to text multiple people, WhatsApp is going to limit that to 5. Yep, you’ll only be allowed message 5 people at a time.

In a blog post, the messaging service said: “We’re launching a test to limit forwarding that will apply to everyone using WhatsApp.”

“We’ll also test a lower limit of 5 chats at once and we’ll remove the quick forward button next to media messages.”

FAB.
