Over two-thirds of Irish workers feel underpaid and undervalued, according to a new study.
According to the Irish Times, research by Peninsula Ireland has shown that the majority of those working in Ireland are not happy with their pay and conditions and feel that they are not appreciated by their bosses.
However, only 38 per cent of those questioned said that they would feel confident asking for a pay rise, with 83 per cent of the belief that they would not receive an increase over the coming year.
Managing Director Alan Price said urged employees to be vocal about their desires to create a healthier and more enjoyable workplace.
“If you really think you deserve a pay-rise then ask, otherwise you will often wonder and be resentful when you see others paid a higher salary which is not good for your mental health and wellbeing."
