Nothing would turn us into more of a scrooge right now than a parking ticket.
The purse feels a LOT lighter these day, with most of our pennies sitting under the tree in the form of pressies or sitting in the extra inch around our waists.
Well one such broke Christmas shopper was rightly outraged when he was forced to park on the street after someone else nicked his spot.
He subsequently got a parking ticket and decided to let the rogue parker know what-for.
The note, uploaded to Imgur, read:
Hey Stranger
Because you were parked in my spot last night (and still are??), I got a ticket for street parking overnight w/out a permit. I’m broke. These are privately owned spots, and I could have you ticketed + towed. I won’t, but please don’t park in my spot again.
Very reasonable, we think.
Well the response was even more reasonable – in fact it sums up the idea of Christmas goodwill.
It reads:
First I would like to apologize for parking in you[r] spot. It was irresponsible on my part and I would like to give this to you to pay for the ticket and whatever else you need. I[t] can be tough around this time of year. Merry Christmas – the asshole who parked in your spot.
The definition of sound.
All is forgiven.
