First Look: The Simpsons Team Up With LEGO For An Epic Episode Like No Other

When The Simpsons revealed the first images for their upcoming LEGO episode, we became very, very excited. Called Brick Like Me, the 550^th episode of the popular animation will see the residents of Springfied transformed into LEGO men and women, and its world changed to resemble the famous blocks. Posted to their Facebook page, the episode is part of a deal with LEGO and 20^th Century FOX, and incorporates the new release of the Simpsons LEGO construction set. Speaking to TV Guide, LEGO's president of licensing Jill Wilfert said that initially while the merchandising was still being hashed out, they suggested that the show do an opening couch sequence. "They quickly came back to us and said, 'Forget the couch; let's do an entire episode!'" said Wilfert. "We're pretty picky about how our brand is represented," Wilfert said. "No one at the show is used to dealing with creative input from the outside". The episode itself took two years to make and will air in the US on May 4^th. (Images via The Simpsons on Facebook)
