Fitness Blogger Photoshops Herself To Send Message About Body Image

Fitness blogger Cassey Ho is well known for her Blogilates YouTube channel which has gained a massive following. Cassey uses the website to teach Pilates and bootcamp workouts and she recently opened up about the negative criticism she receives online. In an effort to show the damage caused by cyber bullying, Cassey photoshopped her body and posted the below video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PsL7W-GHhJA Writing in her blog she said: "Within the past few months, it’s gotten really negative online. It’s actually been terrible. "Not just comments, but people making full on videos trash talking my body and my techniques as a certified fitness instructor. "You may not know it, but when things get bad, I try my best to hold back my tears and tighten my mouth so that I don’t frown. "But sometimes, it gets to be too much. So I break." Cassey also edited an Instagram photo to show that even "the perfect body" receives backlash online. Speaking to People magazine about her decision to share the video and photo, Cassey said: "The goal is to show that cyber-bullying and mean comments really affect people, and to think before you say something". I hope that people do the exact opposite after seeing this video, which is enlighten everyone around them with positivity."
