One Of The Most Iconic Episodes Of The Simpsons Is 23 YEARS Old

Warning: The following content will make you feel really, really old. Watching Neighbours followed by The Simpsons on RTÉ Two was a daily ritual. It is safe to say that some members of the Her Team loved Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie a little more than others, but as a whole, growing up it was very difficult not to embrace the community of Springfield. The Simpsons revolutionised animated humour and since beginning on December 17th, 1989, many global superstars have made guest appearances. The first band to pave the way for the cartoon musical cameos was Aerosmith on what turned out to be one of the series’ most iconic episodes. Flaming Moe’s aired on November 21st 1991 and saw the famous tavern spiral into financial difficulty only to be saved by a genius idea from Homer. Homer tells Moe about the drink he invented after running out of beer, which he named the 'Flaming Homer'. After stealing the recipe and renaming it the 'Flaming Moe', the bar owner's business is revitalised and Moe's Tavern is transformed into a nightlife hotspot that sees rock legends Aerosmith playing a nightly residency.
