“Fly A Plane” – Grieving Parents Find Bucket List In Their Daughter’s Make-Up Bag

This is heartbreaking.

Cathy Donohue

Kristina Chesterman was 21 years old when she was killed in a road accident.

The young girl was riding her bike when she was struck by a car, leaving her parents, Sandra and David, heartbroken.

They knew that their daughter wanted to be a nurse but she had a lot of other dreams that they knew nothing about until they went to clean out her old apartment.

In one drawer, Sandra found a make-up bag with a single sheet of paper inside and on reading it she discovered it was Kristina’s bucket list.

“I mean what kid writes a bucket list? There’s not many,” said Sandra in conversation with CBS News.

Kristina’s bucket list reads:

Manage or own my own business
Get married
Have kids
Learn to fly a plane
Go to 4/7 Wonders of the the World
Fly first class on a plane
Visit the 50 states
Ride in a hot air balloon
Go parachuting
Go skydiving
Ride a camel
Travel to all the continents
Be remembered as the “smiley girl
Break up a fight btwn [sic] 2 guys over me
Run through a poppy field
Tour Niagara Falls
Go to the Smithsonian
Drive Route 66

Strangers following Kristina’s bucket list

Kristina’s parents have decided to carry out as much of their daughter’s wishes as they possibly can but not only have they been inspired by their daughter, so too have strangers around the world.
