Weight loss

Apples are high in fibre but low in calories which means they keep you full for longer without the guilt of calories. The peel also contains ursolic acid which is said to lower the risk of obesity.

Bloat-free

Whether you are prone to diarrhoea or constipation, this high-fibre fruit also helps to keep your bowels in good working order and reduces bloating.

Brain function

Both apples and apple juice are believed to fight the effects of ageing. As a result, this fruit apparently lowers your chances of Alzheimer’s.

Immunity-boosting

They do say “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”. Apples are a great source of vitamin C which is known to boost immunity.

Dental hygiene

Eating an apple assists saliva production hence reducing bacteria levels and tooth decay, which means an apple a day could also keep the dentist away!
