We featured this ingenious recipe on the website in January, but if you're looking to get sorted with a tipple for tomorrow, it should be right about now that you should start gathering those ingredients!
A limited edition of the “Irish Beer Shake” which includes a blend of Guinness, Jameson and chocolate ice-cream has just been launched in the US and Canada.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Inc are selling the new limited edition shake for just $5 a pint.
“I tried one. It tasted like a drink I had probably made in college, after I was already pretty drunk,” food blogger Jenn Wohletz wrote.
“The shake is amazing. If you like Guinness you're going to really like this shake,” one Facebook user wrote on the official Red Robin page.

Ahhh... an Irish Beer Shake...
Beer and ice-cream? Sounds barmy but it’s not the first time the burger joint has blended the two ingredients together. Last year they revealed their special recipe of a Sam Adams Octoberfest draft shake that included vanilla ice-cream, vanilla syrup and caramel with the alcohol.
There are more than 470 Red Robin restaurants across the US and Canada… we think it could be about time we paid a visit.
Or else… you could make your own! Ta-dahh!
This copycat recipe by Cooking With Super Pickle food blog makes 2 nice milkshakes, one for you and one for your Paddy’s Day partner in crime.

3 oz Guinness Draught
1 1/2 oz Jameson Whiskey
1/4 tsp xanthan gum(not 100% necessary but it helps thicken it up well!)

Pour into a frosty glass and serve with a shot of whipped cream
If it is still a little runny and you dont have xanthan gum, you can freeze it until it thickens up
