Oh no, we hope some poor soul didn’t get fired from FOX News for this blunder…
The American news channel needed a photo of a heterosexual couple getting married for an article on heterosexual coupling by Suzanne Venker.
Not too tough, right?
Except, this is the photo that appeared on the channel’s website, a photo of a same-sex couple’s wedding.
This is a shot of Lela McArthur and Stephanie Figarelle of Anchorage, Alaska. The picture featured on the Huffington Post last year, detailing their Sleepless In Seattle-inspired ceremony at the Empire State Building.
They were the first same-sex couple to get married at the landmark.
American blogger and feminist writer Jessica Valenti drew attention to the mistake on her Tumblr and the image was swiftly taken down.
