We may not have the obvious attractions of Summer Bay, but there’s something about Irish shores that Home and Away stars just can’t seem to get enough of.
Barely six months after Brax, aka Steve Peacocke, embarked upon a nightclub tour of Ireland, Romeo is headed for the races.
Organisers of the Kilkenny Senior Hurlers Race Day have announced that actor Luke Mitchell, who plays heartthrob Romeo Smith in the Australian soap will be a judge at the best dressed lady competition on the day!
Kilkenny women are of course more familiar with hurlers than surfers, but we imagine that the news will create a frission of excitement for those planning to don the gladrags on the day.

Guest of honour Mitchell will assist Deirdre Shefflin and Elaine Hickey - the glamorous wives of Kilkenny hurling legends Henry Shefflin and Noel Hickey - in their selection of the Paul’s Most Appropriately Dressed Lady at the event on Tuesday April 9th.
And the reward for the lucky on the day? Well, in addition to Romeo’s admiration, the winner will bag €1,000 value prize comprising a €400 voucher for Paul’s and a weekend away in Derry, the 2013 City of Culture.
A word of warning though, no matter how much you want to emulate Summer Bay style on the day, try it in Ireland in April and there’s a good chance you’ll die of hypothermia. Romeo will probably have to wear his top too. Sorry. Here's a picture of him without it, to make up for breaking the bad news.
