Look at their little faces.
The Gardai have rescued 15 little puppies who were bound for England by ferry. They intercepted the vehicle they were being transported in and seized all the animals because the driver didn’t have the proper paperwork and had allowed the puppies to be kept in terrible conditions.
They took away the animals and gave them over to the DSPCA.
The main Garda Facebook page gave an update last night about the rescue. They said, “While carrying out a checkpoint, Gardaí from the Commercial Vehicle Unit stopped a van at Dublin Port which contained 15 puppies without the relevant papers. Dogs seized and given to DSPCA.”
They also shared images of the pups in the awful conditions they were kept in.
Thankfully they are not in the rightful hands of the DSPCA who will take care of them.
