The final episode aired way back in 1993 but a lot of the wisdom that The Wonder Years has stayed with us over the years. Kevin Arnold's journey through adolescence and into adulthood really resonated with a hell of a lot of viewers. Here are eleven lessons we learned from the show.
1. You will always have your family.
At the end of the day, they will always be there for you, even when things go wrong.
2. You WILL get that girl/guy.
You just have to seriously put your mind to it.
3. Everyone needs an internal monologue.
It helps when you're trying to work out situations.
4. Kissing somebody with chewing gum is incredibly romantic.
You get to keep the chewing gum and everything, just like Kevin.
5. Your brother/sister love you really.
They may beat you around the place but they love you really.
6. A killer soundtrack is essential to your life.
Really essential. Like, Joe Cocker essential.
7. Things never turn out the way you planned.
That isn't always a bad thing.
8. You won't remember those kids from school, forget what they think.
You were so concerned about what they thought at the time but now, you won't be even able to remember their names.
9. Everyone's good at something.
You just have to find it and you will find it eventually.
10. Your memories will always stay with you.
The important ones!
11. Things will always turn out ok.
Even if they don't, refer to lesson number one.
