There are plenty of ways to raise money for charity, you can run a sponsered marathon or take part in a sponsored walk but we think one of the best ways to raise money for a worthwhile charity is to do it with your friends.
The Irish Cancer Society are asking people to help fundraise money for their charity by organising a special get together with friends, and we're here to lend a helping hand by giving you a few tips for the evening.

The best, and perhaps the easiest way to get everyone together is to organise a movie night with the girls and make a donation to the Irish Cancer Society. You can set a theme for the evening, be it rom-com or romantic drama, but since it is coming up to Halloween, we might suggest renting a few horror films for the season that's in it. For just attending the evening, everyone can make a donation to the society.
However, if you really wanted to make things fun, you could also run a set of horror rules which could help with donations also. Simply make a rule like "first to scream donates €2" and so on, and you will find that your donations will reach a fairly substantial amount.
On top of that, organise some food for the event and ask friends to make a small donation for any treats, basically like being in the cinema.

If any of your friends are talented stylists, hairdressers or beauticians, you could also always ask them to donate their services for the evening for a worthwhile cause.
Get out there, get fundraising and have some fun!
