Supporting charities by buying freshly baked goods? Easy. Just another great reason to treat yourself to some tasty delights!
The folks at Lidl are hosting a “Bake-Off for Barretstown” promotion in stores across Ireland this week from Monday 24th to Sunday 30th June.
For every €1 spent in the in-store bakeries, Lidl will donate 20 cent to Barretstown, whose mission is to rebuild the lives of children affected by serious illness, and allow the charity to continue with its magical and inspiring work.
All freshly baked products from Lidl’s in-store bakeries will be included in the promotion including fresh pastries, bread rolls and bread loaves. Yum, there's definitely a croissant with our name on it!

Not only that but the company is taking to Twitter too to rally support.
For every new follow @lidl_ireland gets using the hashtag #bakeoff, Lidl will donate a further €1 to the children’s charity.
Sounds like a match made in heaven. Keep an eye on the #bakeoff hashtag on Twitter if you want a glimpse at some great baked goodies.
