Some users pointed out that the tat would be more accurate as a microphone but Raingoose had already anticipated that.
When one commenter wrote:
"[The speaker] makes me think there is no audio coming out",
She explained that while she’s hard of hearing, she doesn’t want to discourage people from speaking to her altogether.
"I may be a stutterer, but I can still articulate myself," she said.
Raingoose also offered this consolation to those who share her disability.
"Don't worry, I know it sucks so bad," she wrote.
"But eventually you'll get used to it and it will be a tiny little thing that is a part of you."
