If you're been glued to The Fall since its season two return, we've got some good news for you.
The crime drama will conclude with a 90-minute, feature length finale on Sunday December 14th, rather than the usual 60-minute episode.
According to IFTN, creator Alan Cubitt confirmed the news and said that the extension will allow more depth to the show's conclusion.
“I'm grateful to the BBC for allowing me the opportunity to finish the second series with a feature-length episode. It's a real vote of confidence in the show and allows me the chance to explore the issues the drama deals with in real depth.”
The series, which stars Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson, tells the story of serial murderer Paul Spector and Ben Stephenson, Controller BBC Drama Commissioning, warned fans that they should steel themselves for a gripping finale.
“This series has such a wonderfully shocking conclusion that it’s only fitting viewers should be treated to a feature length finale to relish.”
