Yehuda Duenyas is one of them and he first started out in his role back in 2007.
He told Refinery29 that he was asked by director Thomas Bradshaw to come in and choreograph some sex scenes for a graphic play he was working on.
And, we suppose, he discovered he had a talent for it.
Duenyas then choreographed some more sex for another play in 2015 (by the same director, mad for his graphic plays, he is).
The job of sex choreographer doesn't sound easy though. Duenyas said that he does his best to create a "safe" place for the actors, in the similar way that people would hope to choreograph scenes of violence.
He said:
"I think the same thing goes for sexuality and sexual choreography. "There's so much opportunity to get it wrong, to hurt someone's feelings, to blow through someone's boundaries, to trigger past things."
Theatre productions aren't the only mediums using sex choreographers though.
The likes of Westworld and The Wolf of Wall Street have also apparently hired them to ensure that their riding is as believable as possible.
