Labour are promoting a scheme that will see childcare drop dramatically in price.
If elected, the party said they would implement a State-subsidised service for children aged from nine months to 12 years which parents would be able to access for up to 40 hours per week.

"The State has never invested in childcare and, as the economy recovers, it is time to change that for once and for all".
The scheme is a measure by the party to attract working parents ahead of the general election. The implementation of the scheme would occur over a five year basis with a cost of €500m to the tax payer.
