Who said burglars didn’t have a conscience?
Candy Stallings, the director of the San Bernardo County Sexual Assault Centre, California was distraught when she went to her offices on the morning of July 31st to see that all the valuable computing equipment had been stolen.
The non-profit organisation helps out victims of sexual violence.
Candy and workers at the centre were gob smacked when they returned the following day to see all the equipment had been put back.
Inside one of the returned laptops was this note, showing that the thieves’ consciences were pricked when they realised where it was they had looted.
The note read, "We had no idea what we were takeing. Here your stuff back. We hope that you guys can continue to make a difference in peoples live. God bless."
