In the words of Phoebe Buffay: “THIS IS BRAND NEW INFROMATION!”

New details about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the play that is due to hit London’s West End next year, have been revealed and it turns out it’s a sequel of sorts.

As in, it will be picking up the story 19 years after the book series and Harry himself will be in it.

The synopsis is as follows: “It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children.

“While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted.

“As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.”

The play, which will reportedly be in two parts, is a brand new story written in collaboration with J.K. Rowling.
