Having sex at this time of the month increases your chances of an orgasm

There has never been a better reason to keep a menstruation calendar.

If you struggle to achieve the big O, research shows you can majorly up your chances by paying attention to your cycle.

It makes sense really, when you consider how closely linked our sex drive and hormones are.

According to Gabrielle Lichterman, author of 28 Days: What Your Cycle Reveals about Your Love Life, Moods, and Potential and founder of Hormonology, our sexual desire fluctuates with our hormones.

She writes: “In women with menstrual cycles, testosterone rises and falls throughout the month, which raises and lowers their sexual desire, ease of achieving orgasm and intensity of orgasm.”

While days 1-14 are “red hot” sexual days, testosterone levels (which control libido) peak on day 13 and stay high on day 14.

According to Women’s Health, it’s the latter day that has the best orgasm potential, with the clitoris swelling by about twenty per cent on day 14, and arousal at an all time high.

So there you go, day 14 for the win.
