Hundreds of people from all over the UK turned out to attend the funeral of Harold Jellicoe “Coe” Percival, a World War Two veteran who died alone last month in a nursing home, aged 99.

Harold was a World War II veteran, that had never married, had no close friends and in a bid to give him the send off he deserved, funeral organisers appealed for people to pay their respects as "a single man, he has no close family who can attend his funeral.”
Men, women, and children turned out to celebrate the life of a man they had never even met.
Reverend Alan Clark, who carried out the service, said: "We marvel at the power of the printed word, whether on paper or screen."
The funeral service was held this morning, quite aptly, on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.
