Yes, a bride marked her special day by having the world’s longest train.
Jing Mei from Chengdu in south west China, spoke of her and her husband to be’s world record breaking wedding idea, and decided to embark on achieving the ultimate head piece.
The 50kg train took 40 bridesmaids to carry the weight, costing the couple £4,000 (or an average annual salary in China.)
Proud of her achievement, Jing and husband Yuan said:
‘It started off as a mad idea and then we thought we could actually make it happen.
‘We’re both delighted with the result and we are definitely going to contact the Guinness World Records to get them to agree that this is an official record breaking dress.’
