Talk about arriving with a bang!

A little baby boy in Swords, North County Dublin, has been safely delivered at home, after emergency services were called to the scene.

The Dublin Fire Brigade received the call at 10pm on Sunday night and rushed to the mum-to-be whose contractions were only a minute apart.

Thanks to the firefighters with the help of the National Ambulance Service, the little boy was delivered at 10:08pm, just eight minutes after the call.

A spokesperson for the Dublin Fire Brigade shared the news on Twitter, writing:

“In a joint effort between Swords FF/Ps,@AmbulanceNAS and mum, we successfully delivered a baby boy at home tonight.”

Congratulations to all involved, especially the new Mum.
