While we use it for general sass, this suggests it actually means a woman working at an information desk or holding a tray of invisible drinks.
We were just coming to terms with this crazy talk when a new secret theory came to our attention, courtesy of Jess Stern, an event planner from Toronto.
Spotted on MIC, Jess took to Facebook to share her idea on the secret hidden theory behind the emojis.
The 26-year-old wrote: “Look in the hair cutting one she has long hair that gets CUT AT HER SHOULDERS and then she’s showing it off!!! There is a meaning to everything in life. Thank you for your time. Carry on”.
According to her, the ‘sassy’ icon is actually linked to the hair-cutting one.
Why? Her reasoning is that the ‘pink lady’ has her hair cut and then she shows it off.
It makes sense to be fair because the sassy show-off vibe is still appropriate, only now the ‘pink lady’ has a reason to be all “look at me”.
