The high court settles case involving a… wedding bouquet

Olivia Hayes

A woman has sued a hotel over a wedding bouquet.

We all know the deal when it comes to weddings. Usually a church is involved, you get a big (basic) dinner, there’s some drinks, and of course, there’s the bouquet toss.

Many single women gather for this and all go a bit wild when the bouquet is up in the air for those 0.43 seconds.

This woman tried to sue Aherlow House Hotel in Tipperary after she reportedly fell on a rose petal in 2012.

Ann White told the High Court this week that the bride threw her bouquet of pink roses into a crowd of 20 single women at 12.20am.

It apparently caused a “serious scrum.”

Ann said she was later dancing and slipped on a rose petal from the bouquet.

According to Today FM, the woman fell to the ground and hit her back and head.

She claimed in court that the hotel staff didn’t clean up the roses properly. She was unable to go back to work due to the injuries.

However, the case was supposed to resume yesterday, but when the judge arrived into court he was told it was settled outside of court.
