The Salt Flats of Bolivia
A visit to the world-famous salt flats (Salar de Uyuni) is a must for any visitor to South America. Located in Uyuni, you can stay in a salt hotel, and be blown away by the majestic scenery on offer. Argentina has something for everyone from the beauty of Iguazu Falls to the wine tasting of Mendoza and amazing tango dancers of Buenos Aires. One place you have to visit though is Patagonia. Rent a car and take your time driving around the area. Be sure to book in a horse-riding lesson with a famous gaucho (cowboy) and don’t leave without heading down to visit Perito Moreno Glacier. From desert to modernity in a few short strides, Dubai offers an eclectic mix of old and new, packaged up in a shiny, glitzy wrapping that is just waiting to be unwrapped. With most of the local hotels and hostels running trips to the Great Wall, you really have no excuse not to go there once you arrive in Beijing.
