This house is a dream come true for every girl who wants to live in Portobello

Cassie Delaney

Who could turn down living in Portobello?

The Dublin 8 urban stretch is the most desirable areas thanks to its reputation as a haven for young creatives and professionals. It’s a stone’s throw from the cities finest attractions, eateries and bars and is in walking distance to Stephen’s Green.

Rows of cute terraced houses and quaint cottages are within the parameter of the canal, which is populated, always, with a dozen swans.

It’s all very Instagramable. Total #goals.

Sadly every house hunter in Dublin has also recognised its fine attributes and house prices in the area are astronomical.

Still, a girl can dream and this here beauty is a fine way to illustrate your fantasies.

This red brick Victorian home is on Bloomfield Avenue. The 4-bed abode boasts a very impressive refurbished kitchen and plenty of space to play with.

It has everything on the wishlist; four fireplaces, sash windows with working shutters, high ceilings, ornate period detail, original stained wood flooring, travertine marble and incredibly luxurious bathrooms.

At €995,000 it’s definitely a lotto winner’s house but sure look, maybe someday us plebeians can visit.
