Hundreds of people lined out in Dickinson, Texas on Wednesday to make Claire Lankford a princess for a day.
Five-year-old Claire suffers from a rare type of cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma which affects connective tissues.
At the moment there is no cure, meaning her cancer is terminal, according to KHOU.
The little girl loves to dress up as a princess and her community came together to make this day a special one.
"Anytime you hear about a child who has cancer you want to do what you can to brighten their day a little bit," said Amanda Jarvis who attended the event.
Claire wore a dress similar to Belle's from Beauty and the Beast and was picked up by Prince Charming (her father), who brought her to a horse-drawn carriage.
"I can't believe people would want to come out and celebrate my child … a little girl many people didn't know just to make her dream possible," Claire's mother, Patricia Lankford, told the Houston Chronicle.
"It's such a blessing to see what the community can do when they come together. It's overwhelming and I feel so honored and blessed that people know my child's name."
