Hundreds of Irish drivers have been affected as an extensive review into the system that grades driver theory tests has shown that it has been marking a correct answer as incorrect.
As a result, 1,216 failed their theory test after getting the question ‘wrong’, with 610 of these having already taken the test again.
The Irish Times has reported that the Road Safety Authority has contacted nearly every would-be driver who has been affected by the system glitch, with test results to be amended for those affected.
