You need to watch this powerful video.

I have goosebumps.

Teachers can be so much more than just educators to some students. A good teacher can become a guide, someone to confide in and even a friend.

This American teacher must have been all those things to his students judging by the support he received.

Teacher Ben Ellis became ill with cancer and unable to teach, so his students at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville decided to do something special for him to show how much they care.

Over 400 students showed up outside Ben’s house to sing to him.

The beautiful video caught the eye of country singer Tim McGraw who posted it to his Facebook page.

You can see Ben’s face light up when all the students sing hymns and religious songs outside his window and he begins to sing along.

The stunning gesture has been watched over 18 million times with endless positive comments.

One woman who is also a teacher at the school said that the idea came to the students on a whim.

“I am a teacher at this school and blessed to call Ben a friend. The school is Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville.

This was a spur of the moment decision to go.. students were in the middle of class, some taking quizzes and tests and dropped everything for a bigger lesson on life, love, community, compassion.”

Ben’s father Bob, also commented on the post.

“Thank you, Tim. Ben is my son. Through his ministry and teaching, he has positively touched countless hundreds of lives directly and many thousands indirectly. He, his wife and children are a beautiful family.”

Such a wonderful gesture from students to their teacher.
