The Andy Morgan Foundation was set up in 2011. Their aim is to spread the message of HOPE to everyone who has lost someone to Suicide and those suffering with Depression and to help children and teenagers.
The family and friends of a Northside father-of-three who took his own life three years ago came together and set up a foundation in his name for suicide awareness. Popular and outgoing Andy Morgan took his own life on New Year’s Eve 2010 to the utter devastation and shock of his partner Joanne, his three children and many friends.
In the three years since his death, Joanne and Andy’s friends have focused their efforts and emotions towards ensuring others don’t have to go through what they’ve experienced.
In a tribute to Andy, her father, 10-year-old Alex speaks out about her father's death and her memories of him.
