Grace’s Choice: To Great Lengths for GAA Function
Grace says: It comes as no great surprise when I say that I have a lot of time for elderly gentlemen (this fact is listed on my Twitter bio). Earlier in the week a story all the way from Galway brought a huge smile to my face. When a car came between a bus full of GAA lovers and their club do, a select few men decided to solve the problem. Thankfully the moment was caught on camera and is definitely the most Irish thing I’ve seen all week.
Mary’s Choice: Not Tonight, I’m Staying In
Mary says: I absolutely loved this week’s “14 Signs You’re Turning Into An Auld Wan”. However, it was very scary writing this piece as I realized how many of these actually applied to me (sigh). But as they say, older means wiser… that’s my motto and I’m sticking to it!

Liz’s Choice: Sing When You’re Winning
Liz says: I have a REALLY annoying habit of singing along to EVERYTHING. Whether it’s cheesy pop or a quick rap, I’ll at least give it a bash.
Thankfully, my daily tunes are more for private/ immediate vicinity viewing only. This man though, happened to marry the most amazing wife ever. Not only does she love cheesy 90s rap, but she knows ALL the words, and the hand actions.
I bow to you lady. (And yes, I’m currently practising my own Salt N Pepa skills.)

Cathy’s Choice: Boots, Boots, Boots
Cathy says: As most people who know me will agree, I’m a tad obsessed with all things fashion. It makes sense then that style pieces are among my favourite stories each week. The weather has changed and it’s now considerably colder and of course, there’s pretty much always a chance of rain. In other words, winter boots are a necessity. Now there’s an excuse to treat yourself!

Michelle says: This video of two young brothers made my week. Their (surprisingly patient) dad captured the hilarious footage after he found the pair covered from head to toe in paint, and with a trail of destruction in their wake. Sometimes all you can do is laugh.

Rebecca’s Choice: One Thing to Love About You
Rebecca says: 10 Things I Hate About You is still one of my favourite films ever. When I was a teenager, I wasn’t exactly the most popular kid in school (far from it if I’m honest) but this was a movie that made that alright, celebrated it in fact, so it will always have a special place in my heart. Also, the soundtrack is A-MAZ-ING.

Marie says: This is hands-down the most bonkers story that I’ve written in my life so it was an obviously choice for my favourite story of the week. Better still, it has a happy ending and Benji will be ending up “in a sanctuary instead of a sandwich”. Love it!
