Web developer Glen from Northern Ireland was at the end of one web company’s generosity recently.
Glen decided to switch back to using a web-hosting company he’d left about a year before. When the provider asked if it could help with anything else, Glen jokingly asked for a pizza, Consumerist.com reports.
Little did he know…
It began when Glen tweeted @bigwetfish : “Just rejoined after a long time away #feelsgoodbra”
Big Wet Fish replied as they’d been trained to do, “Great to hear… let us know if you need anything at all.”
So Glen thought outside the box.
“What do I need now?” he thought.
He asked for a pizza from Domino’s and gave his address, not ever thinking he’d get one.
“Be careful what you wish for,” the company replied and even posted Glen a photo of the online tracker to show that the pizza was indeed baking in the oven.
As Glen and his buddies scoffed up the free pizza, they posted a photo and even put the Big Wet Fish logo on the board outside their door as a thank you gesture.
“They are a local company here in Belfast and it was amazing to see this type of interaction from a company,” Glen tells Consumerist. “I haven’t experienced this type of treatment before, so I thought it would be fun to share the story.”
