These days we have passwords for just about everything we own. Computers, email, phones, gates, but that doesn't mean we've become any better at coming up with them. This next research proves that globally we're all very much on the same wave length, especially when it comes to security log-ins.
The folks at security company, Splash Data, have published their annual list of the world’s top 10 most common passwords and we've a new number 1.
The word 'password' has fallen to second place (give yourself a pat on the back), and has been replaced with a six digit code. Literally.
If you happen to have ’123456′ as your log-in, then you join a lot of other people, as it has been crowned the world’s worst password.
The survey is carried out with the aim to make us all more aware on online security, (or make us feel like a bunch of eejits with the same password).

Data Splash have offered a few friendly bits of advice when selecting a security log-in.
Mix up your password with capital letters, numbers and symbols, make it at least eight characters long and also advise you adopt a policy of a different password for each site you use.
We can't believe 0000 didn't make that list...
