We have seen a fair share of dating shows in our time but this next male suitor made sure his appearance was one that viewers and contestants would never forget.
Sefer Calinak was asked to leave the set of popular Turkish dating show, '
The Luck of the Draw', after he revealed to the host that he had murdered two former lovers.
The 62-year-old's first victim was his wife, who was also his cousin, killing her after he had become jealous and irritated by her behaviour.
"The nephew of the man who wanted to marry her started to come to our village," Calinak told the host and audience.
Adding: "I was jealous and I killed her, in a way."
Calinak served just four years of a 13-year prison sentence before he remarried before separating.
He shocked the studio audience further when by revealing he had a second victim, a married woman who had promise to leave her husband and whom he suspected was after him for his money.
"She was accidentally killed when I swung the axe," he claimed and added that, "I killed her after she tried to kill me."
Calinak received a second prison sentence but was released on amnesty.
Despite his history Calinak told the host he wishes to find a new wife.
"I'm an honest person looking for a new wife."
